In making our furniture a subframe of eastern white pine is first constructed. The subframe provides strength and a solid frame work to attach the weathered wood. All corners are beveled and all cut edges are trimmed, so the finished piece has the look of old furniture. When complete, the double construction process provides for a solid durable lifetime lasting piece of furniture. The outside has the look of old and the inside is new wood. As you browse our gallery, we have provided a short history of the material reused in each piece. We feel this makes each piece unique and the history of the building lives on. |
